Dr. Ahmad Aref Takiddeen Consultant Cardiologist with over 35 years of clinical and interventional experience. A graduate of the University of Damascus, he led major cardiology units in Syria and later trained in advanced cardiac CT in the USA, earning CBCCT certification. Since 2012, he has practiced in the UAE, co-founding the Emirates International Medical Centre in 2015, from 2021 he joined EHS as where he serves as consultant Cardiologistin Khorfakkan hospital.

Dr. Ahmed Sultan is a consultant Gastroenterologist and Head of Department at Mediclinic Airport road Hospital in Abu Dhabi, whose expertise includes liver and digestive disorders. He has extensive experience in performing general and advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures include 3rd space endoscopy. Dr. Sultan completed his medical degree and residency at Mansoura University, Egypt, and was involved in multiple trials researching Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). In Egypt, he was also a lecturer at the faculty of Medicine of Mansoura, after which he moved to practice medicine in various hospitals in Abu Dhabi, he is also serving as adjunctive faculty of Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Alaaeldin Mohammed Khidir Bashier is a Consultant in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine at Dubai Hospital, Dubai Health Authority, with over 19 years of experience. An FRCP (UK), he earned his MBBS from the University of Gezira and MSc in Diabetes Practice from Cardiff University. He has published extensively on diabetes, endocrine disorders, and Ramadan fasting, and is recognized regionally for advancing evidence-based care and developing clinical guidelines in endocrinology and diabetes management.

Dr. Amr Elfaramawy is a professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at Cairo University, Egypt. His Clinical practice is concentrated on general Cardiology and specialized in invasive cardiology, doing complex coronary procedures, utilizing coronary imaging. Previously, he was the chief of cardiology department and director of cardiac catheterization laboratory at Aswan Heart Center, Magdi Yacoub Foundation. Currently, he is a consultant intervention cardiologist at Fujairah Hospital, Emirates Health Service, UAE.

Dr. Amrish Agrawal is Senior Consultant in Cardiology and Associate Professor at Fujairah Hospital, EHS, UAE He is board certified in cardiology from India, UK and Australia. He is an Elevated Fellow of Royal College of Physicians of Glasgow, Edinburgh as well as of American College of Cardiology. He is Invited Faculty and Speaker in numerous international meetings such as EuroEcho, World Congresses across the globe and ACC and ESC meetings. More than 20 publications in peer reviewed journals, author of chapters in many books of Heart failure and imaging and international member of Editorial boards. He is also a Principal investigator for many international registries at the Middle East and Global levels including i3, VICTORIAN, PACT MEA, FLOW, CEPHEUS, GARFIELD, etc.

Dr. Anass Qasem is a Consultant in Internal Medicine & Nephrology at Ibrahim Bin Hamad Obaidullah Hospital – RAK, an Assistant Professor in the same field at RAK Medical and Health Science University. Also an Assistant Professor for Internal medicine Department at Zagazig University. Dr. Qasem is also an active member of International Society of Nephrology/Renal Association Fellowship (London , UK), International Society of Nephrology (ISN), American Society of Nephrology (ASN), European Renal Association- European Dialysis and Transplantation Association (ERA-EDTA), British Transplantation Society (BTS), and Egyptian Society of Nephrology and Transplantation (ESNT).

Dr. Bahaa El Din is Professor of Internal Medicine and Nephrology at Kasr El-Aini Hospital, Cairo University, and Consultant at Al-Fujairah Hospital. He received the APMA execution award in CRM (2018), the ESN Young Investigator Award (2003), and ERA-EDTA Travel Grant (2012). He is an active member of multiple societies, including ISN, ASN, ERA-EDTA, Egyptian Societies of Nephrology, Hypertension, Internal Medicine, and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Elamin Abdelgadir is a highly experienced endocrinologist with over 15 years of clinical practice and a strong academic background in diabetes and metabolic diseases. He currently serves as a Senior Specialist in Endocrinology at Dubai Hospital, where he has been a key figure in the Endocrinology Department since 2012. Dr. Abdelgadir earned his MBBS from the International University of Africa in Sudan and went on to complete his Fellowship of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (UK) in 2010. He also received advanced training in endocrinology from Dundee University (UK) and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (USA). His clinical expertise spans the management of complex endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid diseases, and pituitary dysfunction. Dr. Fatima Mohamed Alkaabi is a distinguished pediatric specialist with an Arab Board certification in pediatrics and membership in the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (UK). She currently serves as the Deputy Assistant Director for Medical Affairs and Head of the Pediatric Department at Kalba Hospital, Emirates Health Services. In addition to her clinical and administrative roles, Dr. Alkaabi actively contributes to various hospital and national committees, participates in policy development, and monitors pediatric KPIs. She is a certified Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) instructor and has led numerous training courses for healthcare professionals. Her leadership extends to public health education, with appearances in live TV programs and educational initiatives. Dr. Alkaabi was also a member of the EHS Youth Council (2021–2023) and has been a prominent f igure in national and international conferences as a speaker, chairperson, and participant. Dr. Jessica Sturgess is a consultant cardiologist with special interests in cardiovascular disease prevention, cardiometabolic disease, clinical lipidology, cardiovascular disease in women and athletes and cardiovascular imaging. Dr. Sturgess earned her medical degree at St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, USA, followed by residency at Rush University School of Medicine in Chicago, USA, Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, USA and advanced fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease Prevention at University of Missouri - Kansas City, USA. She is American board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Clinical Lipidology, Adult Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr. Muhamed Muhamed Ali Al Rohani is a Consultant Nephrologist and Head of the Medical Department at Dibba Hospital, Fujairah, UAE, since 2011. Previously, he served as Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Science and Technology Hospital in Sana’a, Yemen. He trained in internal medicine and nephrology in Czechoslovakia and Slovakia, with an ISN Fellowship in Cairo, and has published extensively on nephrology and dialysis patient care.

Dr. Nadya Obaid Al Matrooshi, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Cleveland clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Al Matrooshi was an advanced heart failure and cardiac transplant fellow at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, Ottawa, Canada. Dr. Al Matrooshi received her medical degree from Arabian Gulf University, Bahrain. She completed her Masters Degree in leadership in health professions education, from the Royal College of Surgeons. Dr. Al Matrooshi is Arab board certified in internal medicine and general cardiology, and in ACGME-I accredited programs. She also holds board certification from the European College of Heart Failure. She is also a member of the Canadian Heart Failure Society and the Canadian Cardiovascular Society.

Noor Majed is a registered dietitian, member of Emirates Nutrition Association. She graduated from UAE University and earned a bachelor degree in Nutrition. She has earned the two certificates of training in adult weight management, medical nutrition therapy in critical care and she completed her dietetic internship at the Fujairah Hospital, where she subsequently worked as an clinical dietitian on intensive care unit ward.

Dr. Omer Ali, Consultant Nephrologist at Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, brings 14 years of expertise in renal medicine. Trained at Cardiff University and the Royal College of Physicians, he earned his CCT in Nephrology and Internal Medicine in 2018. Formerly at Barts Health NHS Trust, his specialties include diabetic nephropathy, chronic kidney disease, and transplantation. Dr Sami Kenz is consultant endocrinologist and he trained in Manchester UK (North Western Deanery). He obtained his CCT-UK in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine, MRCP-Endocrinology, and FRCP-Edinburgh. He was a Consultant Endocrinologist in UK before moving to UAE in 2015. Dr Sami Kenz is currently working in Rashid Centre for Diabetes and Research, Ajman, UAE. He is Clinical Assistant Professor with University of Sharjah. Dr Kenz is a member of the Royal college of Physicians-UK, British Endocrine Society, Diabetes UK, and AACE-Gulf. Dr Sami Kenz has publications as main author or co-author in peer-reviewed journals. He is currently involved in few research projects in Rashid Centre for diabetes. His prime areas if interest are Medical weight management, managing type 1 and type 2 Diabetes and General Endocrinology.

Dr. Shady Ahmed Hamouda is the Head of Cardiology Department at Ibrahim Bin Hamad Hospital, he has an experience of more than 17 years in the field of Cardiology gained through working in high-volume prestigious medical institution formerly in Egypt then in KSA and currently in UAE MOHAP as a Cardiology specialist A. European board certified in adult Transthoracic ECHO Heart failure specialty certified by the Heart failure association of the European Society of Cardiology.

Dr. Shaikha Alhayayi is a highly experienced Family Medicine Consultant with over 18 years in clinical practice and leadership. Arab Board Certified and MRCGP-qualified, she earned her MD from Jordan University of Science and Technology and a Diploma in Dermatology from the Royal College of Physicians. Currently, she leads Murishid Health Center under Emirates Health Services, running specialized clinics, mentoring physicians, and advancing patient-centered primary care across the UAE.

Dr. Tarik Salim currently a working consultant interventional cardiologist at Fujairah hospital. More than 15 years experience in the field of cardiology. Main interest is coronary intervention with huge experience in complex coronary in particular CTO operator, intracorobary imaging with OCT and IVUS, coronary invasive physiology and non invasive imaging. Previously a tutor and lecturer in the royal college of surgeons in Ireland. Big interest in research with multiple publications and contributor to multiple major clinical trials as a principle investigator. Dr. Khuziem graduated from Mosul Medical College with an M.B.Ch.B, completed internal medicine fellowship, and earned both Arab and Jordanian Boards in 2011. He then pursued cardiology and interventional training at Jordan University Hospital, attaining dual board certifications. Since 2017, he has served at Fujairah Hospital, UAE, as an interventional cardiologist and now Head of Cardiology. His expertise includes invasive coronary and peripheral interventions, alongside non-invasive cardiac procedures.

Dr. Wael Al Mahmeed, MD, is a Staff Physician within the Cardiovascular Medicine Department of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Al Mahmeed served as Head of Cardiology at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), Abu Dhabi. He was also the Deputy Chief Medical Officer during his time at SKMC. Dr. Al Mahmeed received his medical degree from the University of Southampton, Southampton, England. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada and his fellowship in Cardiology and Echocardiography at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He is also a fellow of The American College of Chest Physicians, The American College of Physicians, The American College of Cardiology, The European Society of Cardiology and The Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology.
