"Prof Yury Belenkov is one of the leading cardiologists, an outstanding physician and health care organizer. He is the author of fundamental works on heart failure, cardiomyopathies, and primary pulmonary hypertension. He was the first in Russia to introduce into clinical practice the method of ultrasound examination of the heart, and method of magnetic resonance imaging of the heart and vessels. Since 2006 Yury Belenkov has been the head of the Department of Hospital Therapy and Director of the Clinic of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, one of the oldest and most famous therapeutic departments in Russia (founded back in 1846). Prof Yury Belenkov is the founder of the Russian school of heart failure specialists, he is the President of the Society of Heart Failure Specialists of Russia. He is the author of more than 740 printed works in publications indexed by international databases Scopus, Web of Science, including 24 monographs (Hirsch index RINTS-60, Web of Science-25). Prof Yury Belenkov is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal ""Cardiology"". The international rating of the journal is currently Q3."
